Last Summer in the Berkshires of MA

Hi! My name is Ms. Loya! I am a Pediatric Nurse by trade. This year I have stepped into the teaching arena after I found that I loved High School Students. What a tremendous opportunity! I am very excited to be teaching the clinical rotations at Methodist Hospital.

I have 3 wonderful children!

My career goals:

I'm interested in becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a DNP. I love working with children and adolescents, and would enjoy working with the chronically ill population as well. To become a DNP, I would have to work on my Masters in Nursing and then follow up with a Doctorate degree.

Additionally I am interested in becoming an LMT, Licensed Massage Therapist. I feel it would be helpful in treating the chronically ill patients I might have.

I think I've got enough on my plate! I plan to continue teaching Health Science for a looooong time!

My Hobbies and Interests:
  1. I love to paint or do any artistic creative thing . . .
  2. My two favorite stations are: 89.1 NPR (National Public Radio)
and 89.9, the Texas State radio station out of San Marcos.
  3. Bike with my kids around town
  4. Summers as a Camp Nurse!!! 10-4-2!
  5. Reading lots of books: I am a true nerd and can geek out with the best of them.
